Indonesia Export & Import Increased in March 2020

Indonesia's import value in March increased by 15.60 percent compared to February 2020, while it experienced a decrease of 0.75 percent compared to March 2019. This may have occurred due to the COVID-19 outbreak in China, as China is the largest non-oil and gas import supplier, with an achievement value from January to March 2020 of US$8.91 billion (26.34 percent).

Overall, from January to March, Indonesia's exports and imports increased. What about April through the middle of the coming year? Will Indonesia's exports and imports likely decline due to the COVID-19 pandemic? This development has become the concern of export-import business players throughout Indonesia as they continue to monitor the dynamics of international trade.

PT. Galatia Expressindo remains committed to providing the best export and import services to all customers amid global uncertainty, ensuring cargo shipments run smoothly and on time.
